Settings let you customize BarberSlot to match your business needs. This guide covers all configuration options.
Account Settings
Access via Settings → Account
Profile Information
- Name: Your display name (visible to customers)
- Professional Title: e.g., “Master Barber”, “Senior Stylist”
- Email: Primary contact (used for notifications)
- Phone: Contact number
- Profile Photo: Upload professional headshot
Update anytime - changes reflect immediately in booking app.
Password & Security
- Change Password: Update your login password
- Two-Factor Authentication: Enable/disable 2FA
- Active Sessions: View and logout remote devices
- Connected Accounts: Manage Google/Facebook/Apple login

Notification Preferences
Control what emails/notifications you receive:
- ✉️ Booking notifications: New booking, cancellation, changes
- 💬 Message notifications: Customer replies
- 📊 Daily summary: End-of-day stats
- 🎂 Customer birthdays: Upcoming birthdays
- 🔔 System updates: New features, maintenance
Toggle each on/off based on preference.
Shop Settings
Access via Settings → Shop
Basic Information
- Shop Name: Your business name (appears on booking page)
- Address: Full street address
- City/State/Postal Code: Location details
- Phone: Shop main number
- Email: Shop contact email
- Website: Your website URL (optional)
Used for:
- Booking page display
- Google Maps integration
- Customer communication
Branding
Customize appearance of booking page:
Logo
- Upload shop logo (PNG/JPG)
- Recommended size: 200x200 pixels
- Appears on booking page header
Primary Color
- Choose brand color
- Used for buttons, accents
- Example:
#570df8(purple)
Preview changes before saving.
Timezone
Critical setting: Sets what timezone bookings display in.
Example:
- Shop in Rome: Set to “Europe/Rome”
- Shop in New York: Set to “America/New_York”
Affects:
- All appointment times
- Customer booking confirmations
- Calendar display
Wrong timezone = confusion! Double-check this.
Language
Default language for shop:
- English
- Italian
- German (coming soon)
- French (coming soon)
- Spanish (coming soon)
Customers see booking page in this language.
Booking Rules
Access via Settings → Booking Rules
Slot Configuration
Slot Duration: How often bookings can start (15, 30, 45, 60 min) Buffer Time: Auto-gap between bookings (0-30 min) Min Notice: Minimum hours required to book (0-72 hours) Max Advance: How far ahead customers can book (7-90 days)
Example setup:
Slot Duration: 30 minutes
Buffer Time: 10 minutes
Min Notice: 2 hours
Max Advance: 30 days
Result: Customers book 30-min intervals, with 10-min cleanup buffer, at least 2 hours ahead, up to 30 days out.
Cancellation Policy
Allow customer cancellation: Yes/No Cancellation deadline: Hours before appointment (2-48) Cancellation reasons: Require/optional
Example: “Customers can cancel up to 2 hours before appointment”
No-Show Handling
Auto-mark no-show: After appointment time passes No-show threshold: Flag customer after X no-shows (3-5) Require deposit: For flagged customers (coming soon)
Notification Settings
Configure automated messages sent to customers.
Email Templates
Customize email templates:
Booking Confirmation
- Sent when: New booking created
- Includes: Date, time, service, barber, shop address
- Editable: Yes (customize message)
24-Hour Reminder
- Sent when: 24 hours before appointment
- Includes: Reminder text, booking details, cancel link
- Editable: Yes
Cancellation Confirmation
- Sent when: Booking is cancelled
- Includes: Cancellation reason, rebook link
- Editable: Yes
Reschedule Notification
- Sent when: Booking time/date changes
- Includes: Old time, new time, change reason
- Editable: Yes

What happens:
- All bookings cancelled
- Customer data anonymized
- Services deleted
- Cannot be recovered
Use only if: Closing business permanently.

Troubleshooting
Problem: “Changes not saving”
- Check internet connection
- Disable browser extensions
- Try different browser
- Clear cache
Problem: “Can’t upload logo”
- Check file size (<2MB)
- Use PNG or JPG format
- Try resizing image
- Check file name (no special characters)
Problem: “Timezone showing wrong times”
- Verify timezone matches shop location
- Save changes
- Refresh page
- Check device timezone setting
